“Look Again: Mental Illness Reexamined” is on a season break at the moment but spreading the word about severe and persistent mental illness is a year-long task. And so we have put together a list of some amazing podcasts that can keep you curious and informed while we are away!
For the next several weeks, we will introduce you to some of the amazing work that our #PodcastPals are doing right now to educate people about mental illness. This week, we’ve brought you one of the first podcasts that shares what it is like to live with a severe and persistent mental illness.
A Bipolar, a Schizophrenic, and a Podcast:
It is often difficult for people who are not directly affected by a mental illness to understand how people with a mental illness cope. This weekly podcast looks at life through the unique lens of people living with depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. This podcast is hosted by Michelle Hammer and Gabe Howard, who each share their own experiences of living with serious mental illness. Every week, Michelle and Gabe interview different guests and address different topics through their unique lens. Listen to their podcast to get an insider’s view of the good, the bad, and the ugly side of living with a severe and persistent mental illness.
