One NY Company Is Changing The Way We View The Homeless
Schizophrenic.NYC has drawn attention from various media sources for it’s unique and inspirational perspective to bring awareness to homeless individuals in New York City with mental illness. They have differed from norms of the usual ways of bringing awareness and it’s by–clothing.
Statics show: “According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 20 to 25% of the homeless population in the United States suffers from some form of severe mental illness.” (National Institute of Mental Health, 2009).
